Take The Lead Houston ("we," "us," "our") is a Houston, Texas based leadership community. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use taketheleadhouston.com and our related services, and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password (or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email, and Google account ID).
  • Newsletter and RSVP signups. When you subscribe to the newsletter or reserve a seat at a meeting, we collect the email address you provide and the source of the signup.
  • Contact form messages. If you message us through the site, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message so we can respond.
  • Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security, abuse prevention, and site reliability.

How we use information

  • To operate your member account and send meeting confirmations.
  • To send the email newsletter you opted in to (you can unsubscribe anytime).
  • To respond to questions you send through the contact form.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers that help us operate the site:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Google — only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.
  • Email delivery providers — to send transactional emails and our newsletter.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our members or the public.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your choices

  • You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email we send.
